What is Biometric Identification?
Biometric systems use fingerprints to identify and provide access to anyone that you wish to have access to your premises. These provide the advantage of not having to carry cards or fobs, or remember codes. You can even have an alternative fingerprint stored for any user to allow for when they get a minor cut or abrasions on the preferred finger.
How it works
The Progeny biometric access system consists of a controller and a fingerprint reader.
The reader reads fingerprint templates (not the actual fingerprints themselves, just a representation) when someone places their finger on the optical sensor. The reader then compares the template to ones it has stored for a comparison and if there is a match access is granted. The reader is very simple to use and can be installed either indoors or outdoors with minimal disruption. Each reader can store up to 1000 users each with 2 templates.
