Fire alarm new regulations compliance – the clock is still ticking

New Scottish Fire Regulations

Changes to Scottish fire safety regulations require all homeowners, businesses and landlords to install compliant smoke, heat and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in their homes, businesses and public access buildings by Feb 2022.

DON’T BE COMPLACENT and arrange a survey of your home in plenty of time not only to meet the deadline but to improve the safety of your home, possessions and family.

Working in partnership with SELECT, the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland, Graham Robertson Electrical & Security are providing information on the new regulations to raise awareness to all Scottish homeowners and businesses including Landlords, Property Management Companies, Housing Associations, Hotels, and Guest Houses.

We have invaluable information on:

  • What the regulations mean for homeowners and businesses
  • What properties are affected
  • What type of alarms you need
  • Carbon monoxide alarms
  • Where smoke and heat alarms should be installed
  • Ideal room placements for alarms

In a new video Connelly Group Holdings Managing Director Paul Connelly goes into more detail about what the regulations mean and the reasons why they are being put in place.
